A skateboard design inspired by the wrapping paper of a Japanese department store.
The original wrapping paper was designed in 1972 by Ikko Tanaka,
a designer three generations ahead in my design lineage.
The campaign photograph was shot by myself in front of the department store,
known for its iconic blue shutters.
As a skateboarder, I never imagined I'd find myself waiting for security to show up.
日本の百貨店の包装紙をオマージュした、スケートボードのデザイン。
モチーフにした包装紙は、1972年に私の師匠の師匠の師匠にあたる
田中一光氏がデザインしたものです。
広告写真は、ブルーのシャッターが象徴的な百貨店の前で私自身が撮影しました。
スケーターでもある私が、セキュリティーが来るのを
待つことになるとは思ってもいませんでした。
